Zack Andrews
Zachary Leon Andrews (born March 9, 1985 in Oakland, California) is an American professional basketball player, who is a free agent.
Basketball career
Cordova High School
- Played both varsity football and basketball for three years.
- Earned first-team all-conference honors as a senior after averaging 22.5 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
- Most Valuable Player of the 2003 Optimist Game for Sacramento area high school all-stars.
- Helped bring the Yuba College program to the Elite Eight of the California Community College Men's Basketball Association state tournament in 2004 with a program-best record of 24-7.
- Averaged 10 points and 9 rebounds as a freshman.
- Earned Bay Valley East All-Conference honors after leading the league with 10.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots per game during his sophomore year.
- Finished second in the league in field goal percentage his sophomore year (.584).
- Finished ninth in the league in scoring his sophomore year (13.5 ppg).
- Most points scored in a game while playing at Yuba was 25.
- As a freshman, Andrews racked up 21 rebounds in a single half of a game.
- Earned the number 1 spot on ESPN's SportsCenter "Top 10 Plays" in 2005 after leaping over a player of the opposing team to slam an alley-oop.[1]

- As a starter, Andrews averaged 9.3 points and 6.7 rebounds during his junior year, helping the Brave's to a 8-3 record.
- As a reserve, Andrews averaged 3.9 points and 4.2 rebounds during his junior year, helping the Braves to a record of 13-8 throughout his 21 games off the bench.
- In a game against Western Kentucky, Andrews tied a school record 11 offensive boards in his second doule-double of the season with 19 points and 15 rebounds.
- Had he not been 22 baskets shy of statistical leaders, Andrews would have led the Valley's field goal percentage (.583) during his junior.
- His senior year, Andrews received the Megan C. Fong Inspiration Award in recognition of his ability to overcome his difficult upbringing.
- Helped the Brave's to consecutive 22-win seasons, the best record since the 1958-59 and 1959-60 seasons.
- Helped the Braves make the trip to the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
- Helped the Brave's make it to the second-round of the 2007 MasterCard National Invitation Tournament.
- Set Bradley's school record for field goal percentage by making 62.1 percent of his attempts.
